We think so. Grid Books TM are the ultimate tasting journals for those who take wine a bit more seriously, professional or otherwise. If you like tracking all the bottles you taste throughout a year, you cannot do better than to use a Grid Book TM. If you like doing this while implementing tasting-analysis formats that optimize for blind-tasting and memory imprinting, there is simply no other comparable solution to what is offered by an annually-released Grid Book TM.
Grid Books TM are so named because they are comprised, in the main, of what we call Tasting Grids, i.e., single-page forms with which one can methodically and expeditiously analyze a wine, blind or otherwise. There are other features to Grid Books TM, but these collated somm-ready Tasting Grids give the product its name.
Just like day books, Grid Books TM are to be used throughout the course of a year. In November or December of a given year, it will be time to purchase a new one in preparation for the year to follow.

Grid Books TM are priced at the going-rate for quality elastic-banded journal and diary products. Indeed, most wine-tasting journals, despite all their many inadequacies, are priced at a still-greater premium, sometimes exceeding $50 per journal.
The first two extra features, the Tasting Lexicon and Grape Index, are nomenclature lists, the first an aid for nose and palate notes, the second a resource for determining grape varieties during a blind tasting. Such lists are not encyclopediae or dictionaries, but mere cues for ideation and memory. N.b. that the captain of a blind tasting may forbid use of these two Grid Book TM features to simulate examination and competition conditions.
The Tasting Log is a place for users to log one-line summaries of each Tasting Grid. Consistently logging tastings in the Tasting Log will make quick-reference a breeze for subsequent analysis, comparison, study and note-scanning.
